About The Founder

My name is Dr. Deborah Fessenden and I am the founder of Apples & Oranges Jewelry and Apothecary. I earned my Ph.D. in Sociology with a focus in immigration and refugee studies.

I am highly involved in the nonprofit sector and currently serve as an Advocate for BeKinder Coffee in Dallas, TX where we provide essential life skills to refugees.

Through my work, art, & research, I spread awareness about immigration and encourage compassion, love, and understanding for marginalized groups.
